Often, dream penthouses are designer-styled penthouses whose interior design tends toward a minimalist or semi-minimalist style. The contemporary bachelor apartments unfold the idea of a clear, well-defined design, influenced by modern minimalism.
The combination of metal, wood and stone in the interior is simply fantastic
Today we present to you a stunning penthouse in the heart of Istanbul. It combines skill, functionality and the feeling of inviting cosiness in a skilful way. This trendy project was designed and realized by Design Studio Ofist for a 45-year-old bachelor. The modern attic apartment reflects the owner's lifestyle and the rich heritage of the historic district. It is located in the old trading district of Istanbul - Karakoy, where there are many art galleries, designer studios, boutiques and hotels. The penthouse has a unique charisma that blends the past of this dynamic city with its modern day presence.
Large rooms need multiple light sources
With its urban industrial style, the living area of this trendy penthouse combines various textures and materials. The spacious living room has an open floor plan with wide picture windows and the skylights provide not only a beautiful view of the sky, but also a natural source of light during the day. The dark-colored, natural-stone wall is the ideal backdrop for the luxurious sofa with white velvet upholstery. The elements and constructions used in the interior of metal tubes and the great pendant lights complement the ceiling made of golden-brown wood and give the ambience a warm and inviting touch. In the kitchen area is a large and very practical kitchen island with built-in sink. There you will also find other modern kitchen appliances, closed storage space and an ergonomic dining table with a solid plate. The dining area continues to the imposing fireplace, which is an undisputed eye-catcher in the room. A striking part of the decor of this modern attic apartment is the huge "storage wall". The decor of the wall is simply made of metal bars and grids. The ordered things on the shelves are in full harmony with the industrial charm of the apartment and correspond thematically to each individual zone in the interior. In a delicate way, the charisma of each particular area is complemented. On the second level of the penthouse are the sleeping area and the bathroom. Here again there is a "storage wall" instead of traditional heavy cabinets. The glass partitions make the room look more spacious and airy.
