Wedding Band Ring Shopping!

08 September 2011

With less than 5 months to go on the wedding Mr. Collier and I have been thinking and talking about wedding rings. The wedding band itself has quite a history dating back to the ancient Egyptians who bound twine, leaves and papyrus together to create a ring for married couples to wear. Clearly designed as a circle with no beginnings and no ends the wedding bands reveal a deeper love and commitment as two individuals join their lives together.

With so many styles to choose from, we began with a simple search. I don't know if you have looked at wedding rings lately but some novel and unique possibilities are out there for all types of couples.

Tungsten and titanium rings seem to be all the rage when it comes to the men's selection. These rings are for the traditional man but are perfect for men who work with their hands. Since gold is a softer metal tungsten and titanium are scratch resistant and can sustain some torture.

For the environmentally conscious couples, natural material rings are also a cool possibility.

Some love writing scripture or the date in the inner side of their wedding bands but what about a fingerprint? Fabuluster on Etsy offers oxidized sterling silver rings with your significant others fingerprint!
Mixed media rings are also really popular in terms of metal style, color, texture, etc.

Choose a ring you love, that fits your personal style both now and as time passes.
